The order nobody noticed
Most of the time Starshipit picks up every Shopify order. When it doesn't (an integration disconnects, a key changes, an import rule catches something it shouldn't) nothing tells you. The order just sits there unshipped until the customer asks where it is.

Install and connect
Install from Shopify and paste your Starshipit API keys.
Tell it your import rules
Locations, pickup, local delivery, ignored tags. Other tools guess these; that's where false alarms come from.
It checks every 15 minutes
Each paid order that needs shipping is checked against Starshipit.
One clear email
Still missing after your grace period (1, 2 or 4 hours)? You get one email naming the order and how to recover it.
No false alarms. Really.
An alert you can't trust is worse than no alert. So Missing Orders only emails when it's certain.
- Leaves out orders Starshipit isn't meant to have: unpaid, cancelled, refunded, fulfilled, nothing to ship, no address, sold in store, pickup and local delivery if you exclude them, other locations, ignored tags.
- Double-checks before it speaks: it looks the order up in Starshipit directly, then reads it from Shopify once more.
- Waits when unsure: if Starshipit or Shopify can't give a clear answer, it checks again rather than guessing.
- Never repeats itself: one email per order, ever.
- Read-only: it never changes anything in Shopify or Starshipit.
In the week to 21 Sep 2026 we checked 143 orders against Starshipit. Every one arrived. No action needed.
Proof it's working
A watchdog that never barks is hard to trust. So once a week you get a short all-clear: how many orders were checked, and that every one arrived.
Turn it off any time in the app. The app's page in Shopify also shows how many orders it has checked and how long you've been protected.
